Friday 14th August - Starbucks
First meeting since we had decided on the song, we decided to meet up to discuss possibilities of ideas that we could use in our music video.
We thought the lyrics of the song should be quite important, as should the band name, so we made that the starting point of ideas.
We all liked the idea of combining animation film and real life film, mixing up the 2 worlds.
We thought we'd use modelling animation as that could be exciting. We have all watched films by
Tim Burton who has made some amazing films with animation techniques.Visual ideas:
1 - Showing the bands name "The Wild Wolves" and having the "o" in "Wolves" be the moon for the film.
2 - Main character - Wolf (relating to the band name and imagery by the band on their myspace) wondering through moonlit wood (relating the the lyrics, which are about the moon)
3 - Wolf finding a door that leads to the "real" world where we would have humans acting
instead of animation (inspired from "The Nightmare Before Christmas")4 - Lyrics of the song are about being scared of the moonlight - wolf in the woods hiding from the moonlight. Other animals/the humans could lure the wolf out into the moonlight.
5 - Timing of imagery to match the upbeat tempo of the song (difficult but can work with)
